A first for the Crossfit Games, we captured live drone video
flying a sUAS (small unmanned aircraft system). The shots were delivered straight into the ESPN truck and used continuously throughout the broadcast. It was a very complex operation, but with a lot of ground work ahead of time we were able to exceed the director’s expectations. In fact, he was ecstatic!
Collaborating with the helicopter pilot, city officials, lifeguards and production crew, we delivered the quality and reliability that the live broadcast world requires.
